    acceleration problem.

My car is a piece of shit. When i accelerate its REALLY slow and sluggish..not a smooth acceleration. I've fixed exhaust (no backpressure now i have it), my TPS (that could cause it...it was off but didnt fix acceleration), thought maybe it would be my tranny but its full of fluid, tried seafoming it...that didnt work either. I'm out of ideas guys. could anybody shoot some ? I do have a question though..i put fully synthetic oil in my tranny..would that do something?

oh and btw i have a jdm h22...its slower than my f22.

hmm are u sure ur ecu, everything has been hooked up correctly? no cel codes? etc.?

    do a full tuneup

    -dizzy cap, rotor
    -plugs, maybe wires
    -fuel filter
    -EGR?
    -air filter
    -trans fluid (HONDA OEM)
    -reset ecu.
    -etc.
    -make sure verything is correct.
    hahahahah

I run full synthetic all the time..the best!!!
when i had acceleration problem it was my battery not being charged by the alternator......just an idea.....
sounds like something in the timing dept.
that sux when your h22 is slower than your f22...ouch <shuts up>

fluid doesnt matter in this case. take out the spark plugs and see how they look, i bet its fouled up. id also just take this time to do a cap and rotor change. thats the almost #1 of slowness.

maybe new wires from the auto store will help as well.

if ur sparkplugs are all black get a compression check, no compression =no power.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

Your car is not a piece of crap. You're H22 is obviously not running correctly, which could mean a list of issues. Time just needs to be taken to pinpoint the issue. Did you just swap your motor in or was it running fine, then it encountered this problem?

i just swapped it in...i got screwed on a 2500 dollars engine so i had to get another h22 so that set me back another 1700 dollars and when i put it in it ran like shit from the time i turned it on. i fixed everything i thought it would be. cap and rotor are brand new, wires are brand new, spark plugs are brand new, battery is charged fine. throttle cable is kinda fucked up...but it works fine. throttle sticks a little but that started happening after a while. and no, no cel's. so i'm clueless. and i fixed the the tps...oh and btw. Lets say i work an 8 hour day and come out to my car and turn it on and go...it runs like a dream through 3rd gear and a little bit through 4th..then out of no where is just goes really slow and there is no acceleration...seems like that happens AFTER it warms up which is odd.

my shop teacher says that when it is sticking a bit, try and cleaning out the throttle body and that little flap (butteryfly?) that opens and closes...

you can try sea foaming that way...by spraying the fluid into the throttle body. it should clean out your intake manifold and shit as well.

                      checked egr ports?

already sea foamed it...did nothing. egr is fine..we wired it kinda janky but its fine...i dont have 2 h22's...i have an h23vtec and an h22. the h23 block is fucked. the jdm type s pistons are still good...and the block itself is bored to 87 mm to fit the jdm type s pistons but the crank and all the bearings are all fucked. what do you need?
