If the bolt has been like that since the engine was manufactured, and the filter that is trying to be fitted won't seat, then that indicates the wrong filter.
The threading and bolt/screw/whatever hasn't changed; its a constant. The variable here is the filter, as it changes from time to time. Doublecheck your work and try again.Former: 90 Accord EX Coupe, 93 10th Anniversary in Frost White

So this is happening on an F22a4? Is there something diff about your friends F22a4 than all the others? Why is it that the Penz. pzi-33 is the only one that fits, and not a Honda OEM, K&N, or Wix for example? Did you guys change anything related to the oil filter housing or anything?Originally posted by westsideaccordwell the only one that seems to fit was the penzoil pzi-33 but they dont even make those any more! The threads stop before the filter seats! Is the bolt threaded or is it just pressed in? I am lost! We have tried all sorts of oil filters and no go!
I hope you guys figure it out!

Take a trip to walmart or your local auto parts store and pick up a 3596 [i'm almost 100% sure that's the right number] filter. That's the right one. Quit playing around with all the funny stuff and do it right. God forbid you go to a Honda dealership and spend $7 on a filter that's going to fit right either.Former: 90 Accord EX Coupe, 93 10th Anniversary in Frost White

Obviously you, ACCORDianate, didnt read what I wrote or you wouldve read that I had tried a bunch of other filters, such as pz-33, honda3593, fram and others! As for mods to it, not at all, the only thing Im diggin up is that maybe if its pressed into the block then maybe someone before tried to take it off clockwise and that yarded the bolt out? All I really want to know is how to get it back in to the block so I can use it! He did engine tranny swap! so he could go manual! I have three other engines, f22a1(s) that arent sticking out! So.......................... Thank you for your help thus far! We found that the pzi-33 is a little diff than the pz-33! So im stumped!Last edited by westsideaccord; 07-27-2005, 05:26 PM.

Fuck it man.... just take a hacksaw to it. Just do like the first three grooves at the end of the stem that would give you enought room I think? Of course if you fuck it up it will be worse than before..... is this a possible thing? I don't know just trying to help you out man.Originally posted by rickyduckworthi'll do *** things for the OEM trunk lip spoiler

Rubber mallot or something?Originally posted by westsideaccordNah, lmao, its isnt bottomed out on the filter, the threads run out! But thanks neway

So did you ever get it figured out or are we going to have to read minds around here?Former: 90 Accord EX Coupe, 93 10th Anniversary in Frost White
