    Downshift jerking...SOS!!

Okay now when I downshift in my car, the car starts to jerk violently like its on hydros, but when I engage the clutch the jerking stops. Now is this the problem of the main relay? Cap and rotars? Spark plug wires? Spark plugs? Or Clutch???? Do you know what it is?? Seriously I'm getting fed up.

Any gear I downshift to. Doesn't matter what speed i am going when I downshift it just jerks hard like an earthquake. Some people don't want to ride in my car because of that.. I tried slowing down really slow when I downshift and it still jerks. It also happens when I'm going up hill..I need help!!.

maybe a motor/tranny mount, although sounds more related to your tranny components.

          Hmm..

Give an example? Mines does a drag/jerk when i first learned cuz i would DS at a wrong speed to slow myself down. (is this called engine braking)? i heard it wasn't as good. but now i'll just brake till my revs speed drops a bit, then down to 2nd when im from 5th or 4th slowing down for a turn, or traffic.

But im guessing its tranny related, what brand of fluid are you using?
          hahahahah

yea, thats the only thing i can think of.

checking the mounts should be pretty eays (except rear) but other than that it might be tranny related.

ok with the hood open engine off check the front mount torque strut thing basically an engine mount with a bushing between the header and the radiator, check that for damage. Also, grab the engine and try to move it back and forth with all your might, see if it moves.

check the mounts or maybe the clutch pedal postion it may be to low or too high and your motormounts. do the clutch shit last ont touch it check the others like the mounts and the way you drive first.

Does the tranny become hard to shift some times? Its possible that a mount is on its way out.

Sounds like the front mount, but that's just a guess...that bushing rots. Mine's kinda rotten and my engine rocks a bit.
