    clicking noise!

I am not sure what is casueing this. I really notice it when the windows are down, but since its cold outside, my windows are usually up, but it's my front driver side wheel, it seems when i am driving it's making a clicking noise, at first i thought it was he hub cap (since i do nothave rims) but thats not it, then my bro though it was the upper control arm or sumthing like that, but when he checked it he said it was fine, and wasn't sure what the problem was.....it's really embarassing, and i really don;t want to get stranded, or have my wheel fall off. Does anybody have any experience with this problem???

Not really sure what your problem might be, but it reminded me of a trick to pull on people. Put a large tie wrap on the drive shaft and it will make a clicking noise that is annoying.

does it happend going straight, or when u turn only?

look under right now at the axle boot to see if its torn or broken.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

look under the car at the axles. usually if its during turning then its the outer boot. but if its driving striahgt and the boot outside is bad, then the boot inside may be bad as well...inspect it.

can be other things i cant think of

it might be the cv joint going out, i got mine replaced for like 130-170 i think and i got an alignment at the time as well. this was at a backwoods ky garage, but they knew their shit. and ztech, when you buy a new cv joint dont you just have to replace the axle like you are talking about?

if the cv joint was bad for a long time, it wears the inner boot...so u might as well buy a new axle.

new cv joint just replaces the outter boot on the axle, not the axle itself. the axle holds the 2 boots from the tranny differential down all the way to the nuckle on the rotor.

i checked at my local advance auto parts store, and for a new cv joint for my integra it was like 50 while the complete axle was 70. so when you do it, you might as well change the whole axle.

This seems to be a common problem on Accords. I had it happen to me in my old 86 Accord. Off roading in a Honda will do that though.

Sounds to me like an axle, to be honest i just replaced my drivers side axle about a month ago.. I still have the link to do it that aero3685 gave me... I actually didn't use those instructions, I just ended up going at it, and using a Haynes manual for torque settings.

Oh, BTW... It was $120 with a $50 core charge, Which means total of $70 after you take the old axle back....
