Did Brake Master Cylinder, Didnt Bleed Brakes...

Ok i just finished doing my Brake Master Cylinder. I might
even write a DIY, everything went smoothly. The only didnt i didnt
get to do was bleed the brakes all around.
Didnt get to finish because it got dark really quick.
What i want to know is, how is this going to affect my braking.
Am i going to feel a difference in the braking itself, ie. Soft/spongy
    brakes?
    Let me know.

you should always blead the brakes at all 4 corners after doing any type of replacment like that......most likely your brakes will be soft if you got air into the lines.....i would blead them in the morning you can also blead the M/C.

Don't hope they work ok... You should hope they work at all! If you didn't bleed the M/C and didn't bled the brakes, there is a very strong possibility that you have air in the lines, which will make your brake pedal just go straight to the floor. Meaning you could very possibly have no brakes at all!

BLEED THEM BEFORE YOU DRIVE ANYWHERE!

        Just my $.02

I went on a test drive and they were grabbing ok...not like
i wanted, but atleast it wasnt going to the floor.
I did bleed the master cylinder...i pumped it to make sure that fluid
was being squirted out evenly. The only thing i didnt do
was bleed the brakes at all 4 corners.

I wouldnt trust brakes that hadnt been bled for anything other than going down the driveway to bleed them. I would highly suggest you bleed them or else dont come whining when you total your car and hurt people because you didnt feel like doing the job right. But dont put other innocent people at risk.

I drove the car around the block. They were stopping alright like
before, but this time the pedal is not going to the floor. I do
believe i have air in the system. Thats why i want to know if i can
make it to school and bleed it there. Its about 20 miles from my house.

Well the thing is.. over the time, the temps will rise, fluid will get bubbly, and could most likely boil over quicker since there is quite a bit of air in the system. unlike the controlled situation you had before just around the block. I dont see why its much of a problem to just do it where it is now.

absolutely do it now, it takes like an hour. dont drive to school without bleeding them.

when i first saw this thread i thought it was gonna be asking how to bleed the brakes, i would never have imagined somebody driving the car without doing that first. then i read the first post... lol

its too late guys...i wont have time to do it tomorrow
cuz i gotta be at school by 8am, plus i need two people to do that.
I spoke to a couple different people and they said i might be able
                    to make it.
Its only 20 miles, what imma do is not take the highway imma go local.
                    hope it turns out good.

well good luck on your journey. i didnt bleed mine either and they are okay.

my shop teacher told me...when you have a straw inside a cup of soda and you put your finger on top of the straw, holding the fluid in and bring it out of the cup...does any fluid drip out/air get in?

that is how the line should be...

then show it to Mr. Issleman tomorrow morning so that u can get it
excused, You know, cuz i think you already got 3 other absents..

As long as you bench bled the master cylinder before installing it then it really isn't necessary to bleed all the wheels....you can if you want, but its not necessary. If the pedal is spongy after the install, then you didn't bench bleed the master correctly. How did you bench bleed the master anyway?

Well i dont kno if its called Bench Bleeding
but i did Pump a screwdriver in there and kept
pumping it until a stream of fluid was comming out of the
attached hoses (see pic for better description)
                            its really hard to explain.

ur lines are uspposed to be submerged in the RESOIVOUR. so u'll see bubbles in the brake fluid itself bubble up... if not ur risking air returning into system.
                              hahahahah
