i was having the same problem a couple weeks ago. almost went out and bought a whole ignition switch from the dealer.. BUT my gf(out of all people) suggest i try my spare key. and to no avail, it works, and has been working. the main key was rounding out on some edges causing it to get stuck in the iginition. luckily, i found the extra key and have been problem free after i stopped using the main key.

Your key must be really really worn down in the edges. It's not uncommon for a 10 year old key. Ignition switches are pretty sensitive, many times worn out keys will or will not work. I switched to using my valet key on my 91 CB7 because the other two masters are really worn out.

Thats the exact reason why your key keeps sticking in the ignition Liljord05. Go get a new key cut and you should be fine.
