On the side of the transmission case, there is a drain plug and above that is the fill plug. To check the fluid you pull the fill plug and if fluid either comes out or is level with the hole you have enough fluid, if not, add some. As far as fluid goes, get some Honda MTF. As far as how much, keep adding til it gets tio the bottom of the fill hole.
how do i check and change the oil in my trans it's manual
how much do i fill it ?
what kind of oil do i use ?
use a 3/8 ratchet to remove the drain plug and remove the filler bolt too at the top. let drain. reinstall the drain plug. fill it with honda manual trans fluid (2-3 qrts) fill til fluid comes out the filler hole. if you have a hard time telling witch one is the filler bolt, it is the one with a washer in it. (i think its a 17mm) .later.
Whenever you change manual tranny fluid, ALWAYS remove the filler bolt first!
If you pull the drain bolt off first and for some reason can't get the filler bolt off, you will have a big problem on your hands that could have easily been avoided.

This should awsner your questions
The way you remove the drain plug has already been said more then once. To remove the filler bolt you need a 17mm wrench or ratchet
2. Instead of using Oil for my manual transmission I switched to GMC Syncomesh. It eliminated the 2-3 grind! I was absoloutely please. Its expensive though at $12qrt. but worth it.
