    Excessive body roll

What can cause excessive body roll while driving around bends on the highway? I have a 90 LX, so no rear stabilzer bar, but maybe this can help.
I did the basic shock test and the car stops shaking within 2 bounces.

Search for Progress sway on the forums.. that should solve your problem.

I've config'd my suspension a bit, and body roll is pretty controllable. Instead of rolling now, when I push it the car starts to slide sideways.

        Rear Sway
        Strut Bars
        Lowered
        Stiff Shocks
        7" wide wheels

Makes for a fairly good handling car.

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

upgrade the front sway bar bushings to energy suspension, it will help...also the frame bushings...i did that it helped alot over the lowering eibach prokits.

also in the rear i found that the rear lower tie bar helped the back end "sit down" a bit more in turns, and a front upper strut bar helped me as well.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

I'd first look into a rear sway bar (Progress rear sway bar, I have one and like it very much as my friend aero3685 does). I would then double check your front-end links, but this will enhance your steering response if they are shot/dry rotted more so. If you want better handling than that, I'd go for some performance lowering springs (stiffer to your liking, do the research) and better shocks). For improved steering response on top of this, look into Neuspeed front chassis brace...but if you don't want to spend that $120 ...then get something somewhat rigid in design up front there. Also, the last thing would be like someone here mentioned some 7" wide rims of your choice in size 15" or 16" I'd suggest if you're looking into going to track (drag/autox/road racing) or if you want more of the look/show car do your thing with 17"+ rims.

yeah a rear stabilizer bar would help some. anybody remember when toyota made the corolla without ANY stabilizer bars back in the 90's? they had to recall them and install at least a front because the cars handled so bad they caused accidents.

The car is at stock height, but their is abnormal swaying. I would love to lower the car. The swaying feels like it comes from the back, as if the rear wheel is loose.

Did you inspect anything? If so what did you find. The way that sounds, that can be a number of things. The only way you would know is if you take a look. Also, dont blame it on the lack of a rear swaybar, my LX is badass on turns without the rear swaybar and all i have is Tein coilovers and wide rims.

True. You should first inspect and bring your car to spec, then do the mods if you want better handling. I'm restoring the suspension on my 91 DX coupe 5spd because I bought it and it rides like a$$. It'll be like new soon, well better than new...doing some aftermarket mods

since its stock height, the springs play a big role. but u can keep that hight and put some good endlinks and possibly a rear sway bar from a ex junkyard...

when my car was stock i put ebay front strut bar, rear lower tie bar and that helped alot too...though the roll was still there it stabalized it.

                          steps id take:

take the plunge for new bushings
hit up ebay for the strut bar set
lower the car just a bit
