Difference between usdm and jdm ecu's?

Trying to get through emissions, just wondering which P13 ecu is better suited to help me do this.

Yeah that's what I thought, but finding one is the hard part.

The Jdm stuff won't pass visual, but does pass emissions testing. I don't need to worry about the visual check as long as it doesn't fail more then 3 times, and I've already failed once with a P28.

Technically the USDM ECU ona JDM motor will run like ass and emissions may even be worse. Both JDM and USDM ECU's take the comp ratio into consideration. The JDM is desgned to work best with the 10.6:1 comp and the USDM works best with the 10:1 comp. To say whether it will pass emissions or not depends on your local laws. More than likely yes it will pass, but it depnends on the regulations in your area.

I had a custom P28 on my H22 and had no issues passing emissons in VA. Your laws must be more strict.
