    how hard would this be?

today i just installed my SS Megan headers, and ran across a lil problem. the bracket that attached the header pipe to the motor, located like right near the oil pan doesnt fit. the headers and the attach tab on the headers are off just enough to where the bracket will not fit. and at certain aspects of driving i get a rattling noise, obviously from the header and attach tab.

so now to my point of this thread. how hard do u guys think it would be to fabricate a plate/bracket to stiffen up the pipe so it doesnt rattle?

bend it out of way or cut up some stainless and drill some holes!

            Dont use wire!!! (heheh, lol)
I had the same problem when I installed my new headers, @!@#$$!
But no big deal if you have access to a jigsaw and a drill. Just use cardboard or manila folder to make a template, mark your holes and cut away! Here's a picture of mine(I hope this works). Peace out.

Also FYI, I used aluminum instead of stainless because it's easier to cut. Lates.

I was also interested in how this header is working for you. Where did you buy it from and is the flex pipe as look to be Stainless?

My headers are stainless, but theyre not Megans. They work pretty good for being E-bay specials. I think I paid like $60 *dirt cheap*. The only thing is that they told me I was getting 4-2-1 headers but it turned out to be more of a tri-Y design. They work damn good for the price tho, improving power across the whole powerband. I even got metal gaskets

phreakish, now that I think about it, I used 1/8 stainless which was hard to cut and expensive. We have scraps lying around here so I was lucky. I think it would be beter to use aluminum. You could find a sheet metal shop and ask them for scrap aluminum/metal. Use your imagination. Maybe your local hardware store might have something close. So long as its around a 1/8" thick metal plate. Hope this helps, good luck!

                              Okay thanks.

I thought you grabbed some prelude h23 headers, my mistake.

I have an f22a prelude s and I'm trying to find out if h23 headers with fit.
