iight.. i got the 94 swap into my car rite.... well my car ran super freaking rich like ube rich n then i plugged my map sesnor in and it quit running rich, but it idles at 2500!! jesus i need help fucking cb7's... i hate cars
East fella easy. Take a deep breath and explain everything you did before and after this happenned. Tell me why it idles so high and what you attempted to correct it. I will post again before tonight, promise. Just give some good details.
He couldnt get the MAP sensor to even work unless he wired it how he wired it or it would throw a code. He has tried 2 map sensors with the same problem.
When the MAP line is disconnected, it runs, but SUCKS fuel.. like H2 pulling a 18wheeler chugging of fuel.
When he plugs it back in, it jumps up to 2300-2700 rpm, and idles there.
Thanks Brandon. This sounds so crazy! My feeling is that the wiring of the engine may need to be looked over if anything. Check the ECU pinouts also (this is relation to other problems you had). I mean pluggin in something makes the problem sound less mechanical and more like crossed wiring. Plugging in the map sensor and making the idle jump up to 2500 rpms is crazy in its own right. I think that you seriously need to inspect your wire connections to thoroughly understand what is going on. Or take that to a swap specialist. My instinct tells me crossed wiring has alot to deal with the problems you have with this swap.
Okay since ive done this swap, its been stupidly crazy bcuz no1 around here really knows anything about the cb7's.... i jus bought the motor to swap in bcuz i wanted a decent running motor for my car bcuz of my stock f22a4 motor was all messed up, and it had like 200k miles on it....
And now since this things been in ive been wondering wtf the full potential of it would be and for like a month month and a half now its been running super rich , like aero explained it.. it SUCKS fuel like nothing... and the cel is jus a 3 which is somthing to do w/ the map sensor wiring, well anyways ive tryed my old map sensor, and i got a brand new map for free so ive been messing around w/ this one.
Well when i plug the map sensor isnt in the vacuum line, the idle goes from like 700-900 which is a avg idle, but when its idling there the maps not plugged in which in my case that makes me run super rich and burn fuel. But when i do plug the map sensor into the vacuum the idle jumps way up to 2600-3000 rpm's... the lowest it ever went down in the 2-3hrs time fram ive been fucking w/ it was 2100 rpm's....
And right now im getting so freaking frustrated i just want to take an axe to this stupid accord, which would be freaking awesome considering i kno how it feels to do that kinda shit to a car cuz i did it to my friends prelude than junked it!!!!!!!!!!
Yea but crossed wiring i would have no idea where the hell the crossed wiring would be, i mean me and my friend which he works on civics like its nothing helped me w/ it and i gave him a few print outs of wiring and junk from hondaautomotive, jus to get sum pic details but anyway... we wired everything up like it SHOULD? be... but like i said no1 is around here except jeremy (jdmcb3si) but he's like 3hrs away and yea
there is no freaking swap specialist around here, and to take it sumwhere would kill me for gas and to have the specialist look at it, and right now i dont have that much $!!!!!!!!
I used the f22b1 ecu, and my original stock harness...
Well there you go. That harness will never work. You need a 94 Ex harness. Our harness is missing some of those plugs. Plus, some of the plugs may fit the wrong sensor. Easy as that, rewire that engine with the right harness.

absolutely incorrect. use your stock harness like you did.
IMO i would leave the stock firewall mounted MAP sensor hooked up to its stock wiring, and run the vac line over to the intake manifold... if the f22bx has the map on the throttle body, leave it disconnected. make sure the vac line is run to one of the nipples on the top of the intake mani/throttle body close to the intake area...
and as per the Swap FAQ thread... did you do this: ? * Using a 94/95 Accord ECU (P0A/P0B)? Swap pin A6 with A11 on the ECU harness. This is necessary since the 5th gen was wired opposite of the 4th gen for these two pins.
any differences in plugs matching up can easily be fixed by splicing the correct plug on and matching the wires... but you shouldnt really have to do that for much...
any extra options (secondary runners, vtec, different o2 sensor location, etc) need to be wired in separate.
its from a 94 u say so its obd1 so there are no extra/mixed up sensors. and the ECU will plug right in.
post details about which/where the MAP is and how its hooked up etc.
with the idle so high, how does the car run otherwise? any vacuum leaks? does it have a good a/f ratio and run strong? have you tried plugging in the MAP to make it run well, then playing with the idle to see if you can lower it?
