    quick alternator question

I wanna change my alternator but I got 12 inch subs in my car, do I care about getting a slightly higher output alternator or is a stock one at 80 amps just fine ??

    Thanks!

i'm not too sure about this but if you dont want dimming lights and stuff like that you are going to want a higher output alternator... i think thats what someone told me once

Its always a good idea to get a higher output alternator but I have 2 12's myself with the original alternator works fine, so its really your choice.

def def def def get a higher output alternator. i went through my stock 80amp alternator in less than 1 year with my system(5000+watts). i would go with 160-220amps. it will save u alot of trouble and alot of money in the long run. o and capacitors will help save your alternator and any dimming of the lights. 1 for every 1000W of power is recommended. hope this helps!

          alternator

Going with a more powerful alternator will help prevent your ride from draining
juice from your smaller electrical devices in the car. A cell or cap will also help your amp maintain a steady level to keep your alternator safe and your subs bumping. This also recommended when using many interior electonic mods that are running off the battery or fuse box,ie: (gauges, interior lights, underbody lights, ipods, screens, ect. If you are not using alot of these items tou should be fine for along time.
