    cold start / idling @ 2000rpm

i'm planning to start my turbo project soon. but lately, when i start my car, the idle starts up around 2000rpm's and gradually drops back down to around 900-1000 once it warms up. could it be coz of the extreme cold weather nyc been having? gotta fix this coz it never happened before, and i don't think this would be good for the turbo. any advice would appreciated.

Sounds like normal cold idle up to me. Mine idles at 1,500 rpm until the engine warms and then usually settles down to my target rpm of 750.

It's normal in my opinion primo. Mine when started up after being cold for hours it starts at 2000 rpms and goes down.

It's just hella cold out here...

ever since i put my gsr intake on my accord my starting rpm is 2100 rpm....before it would only be at 1700 rpm...iono its something with my starter valve which i dont really care hahaha

i think ur fine though, turbo isnt going to enguage at startup haha
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!
