When the "up" marks on the timing gears are straight up (in line with the axis of the engine), the marks on the side (the ones that are 90 degrees off from straight up, they're supposed to line up with each other) aren't in line with one another. If they are in line with one another, one of the up marks will be straight up, and the other will look like it's about 1 tooth off of having the up mark up. So what should I go by? Should I re-mark the gears at 90 degrees, just go ahead and trust the up marks, or just go ahead and trust the 90 degree marks?
