    dimming lights?

this may be an alternator problem but whenever i shut off my car, the lights dim and the windows are really slow to roll up.
my headlights also kinda twicth when i hit the brakes.

in the summer, my batt voltage was jumping from 8-18 volts.
high pitched whine coming from the alternator area around 1700 rpm and today, my car was whining pretty loud for a second while i was idling in my parking space and then it just shut off.

my battery is good, i left it outside for my clutch change for a week and installed it and started up no problem. so it aint that but i do plan on getting a small ass battery so i can create some space for a crazy intake.

yea, you maybe right about the alternator not charging enough causing the lights to dim out. but the most usual dimming problems i know was because of a bad voltage regulator.

im debating about it because i already have an alternator sitting in my room and the belt already has minor cracks in it.
