    aftermarket automatic knob

alrighty iv boughten an aftermarket shifter knob for my automatic, my now question is.... what do i do with the ''sports'' switch? how abouts do i go making this into a button on the dash? or do i simply cut it and no longer use the ''sport mode''?

Don't cut it. You may get a wild hair someday and want to sell the car with as much as possible working like stock. And my ears are still stinging from your made-up word "boughten" --- ow.

At first it isn't obvious how to disconnect the Sport switch, but it's done at the switch itself as I recall. I'm guessing you haven't taken the stock shifter knob off yet ...

non iv taken it off and cut the wire long enough to still be able to conect it, my question is do i just buy an aftermaket switch and wire it up to that on my dash somewhere other then the shifter?

ya. the sports switch is a simple closed/open switch. You could put it anywhere. I would keep it around the console area for asthetics. You could use a switch from a Toyota that says NORMAL and POWER. I always thought that was cool...
