    Complete engine on engine stand

Anyone have pics of their engine up on a stand? I dunno if I want to trust this 1250 pound stand with the h22 block, head and IM. I could only get 3 bolts on the stand, 4th looks like I will have to get a LONG ass bolt to go through and a nut on the end. What tranny holes did you use to have your engine stable?

me and my friend are swapping out his BMW motor, and we're using 4 grade A bolts to hold it on the stand, i was skeptical at first too having this little L shape thing hold up an inline-6 motor but it did...

we have put a 5.9 liter 6-cylinder cummins turbo diesel on a regular engine stand, it sagged a lot, but it held..
we have also had an 8.3 liter V10 Viper motor on that same stand, again it sags a LOT, but it will hold, i would worry about a little 2.2 liter 4 banger!

i helped my friend build his chevy 454 on an engine stand and we never had any issues and that about 3 times the size and weight of an h22 i really wouldnt worry...

In Need of an engine, just a basic f22a...pm me if you have one willing to part with.

Works much better/feels safer with 4 bolts holding it up. Here she is, hopefully back in the car in 2 weeks. I really am aiming to be able to get back to autocross November 5-6 and take back the lead from the STI that took my place since I missed 2 events.

Anyone know if there is a break in period on crank/bearings?

theres a slight break in perion because everything is set in motion and plus you have to wait for the piston rings to seal say about 500 miles change oil then drive to get it tuned thats all.
