    Random startup problem

This is a very random problem that is getting annoying. Seems to only happen when it is cool outside only when the car has been sitting between 8 hours and a couple days, it will turn over fine but won't start. Each time I can hear the fuel pump and confirmed it has spark. Each time I tried it after about 20-30minutes and it fires right up.

Plugs, wires, dist cap/rotor, fuel pump have all been replaced within a year old.

From doing some reading, I am beginning to think it could be the igniter but would like some feedback before I replace that.

    Thanks,

I had that proble, just a few days ago man seriously. Here was my problem When i start my car up in the morning and whatnot the car was hard to start. I couldnt figure it out and while i drove around after letting it warm up for a lilwhile supposedly it would just kick off like i dont havemy foot ont he accelerator and it would bog all the way down like i didnt have my foot on the accelerator which left me boggled but the car never shut off in mid flight just stalled like it had no power.

It didnt even accelerate when i gave it gas. I said fuck it i changed the main relay which didnt need to be changed. Then i said hmm then it hit me and while i started it up at my crib it cut off on me and ddint want to start im lucky i could have been stranded out there in the middle of nowhere. So i went and brought another distributor that solved the problem right there. The shit was an internal coil too im not sure if it was the ignitor aswell but hey shit happens right change the distributor it looks like its goin bad get a whole new one altogether.

sounds familiar to the problems people have with the main relay

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.
