I am looking for a used/rebuilt distributor for my 91 Accord and wanted to know if the 92-93 distributors would also fit? I've seen a pretty big price difference between the two for rebuilt/reman. ones, and I just wanted to be sure. Thanks in advance!

i believe that f22a6 engines are external coil so it would be a bit different. although i am selling one for 90-91 accord, internal coil. used but has some pretty new parts in it such as ignitor, coil, cap, cap gasket...sorry to whore up your threadOriginally posted by slickboyI am looking for a used/rebuilt distributor for my 91 Accord and wanted to know if the 92-93 distributors would also fit? Yeah, it's a 90-91 vs. 92-92 thing. So, the f22a6 in 91 would be (and is) internal.Originally posted by wed3ki believe that f22a6 engines are external coil ...
slickboy, sounds like you and wed3k might be able to work something out.
You can however convert to external for your 91 but I can never remember exactly what you'd have to do to the wiring.
Message midnite racer x --- he's done it and should be able to walk you through.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

OK, now I'm confused.
Are you saying that all a1 engines are internal and it doesn't matter what year it is?
Also, I have a 91 SE >>> these have the 140hp f22a6; internal coil.Last edited by rickyduckworth; 10-17-2005, 08:10 PM.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Mine isn't a wagon; it's a USDM SE and very much a 1991 (the Solaris Silver color with black leather ...)Originally posted by rickyduckworthis it an american car?
i've never heard or read of a 90-91 accord sedan/coupe with a factory f22a6 from the states
what's the production date, 9/91 is a 92 model......
is it a wagon?
Also, 'tis listed in the FAQ. Scroll down a bit where the engines and HP are listed:
