    MSD Ignition Question

Just wondering if there is actually a difference between the regular 6 series igntion and the SCI one they sell. The specs they list are the same for both. I'm thinking they just put a different cover on the 6, called it the S.C. ignition, and then upped the price. I've heard some people say they're different and some the same. I think I'll call the company too.

I'm willing to bet that if I opened up the case on a 6A and an SCI, they'd have the same exact circuitry. You're right on the specs too... I couldn't find one difference. Just buy whichever one you want.

Unless the "import" model comes with something extra in the box I'd surmise your suspicions are correct. But you are right in talking straight to MSD for the official skinny. I'm sure you're aware a that a few people here have the normal red box and it does what it's supposed to do for our cars.

The only difference I know of between them are the "-L" version with the RPM limiter modules and the ignition boxes that come without them. I know MSD 6-series do the job so why pay more for a SCI.
