    Speedometer

    Searched, couldnt find.

Anyway. My speedo is out of whack. I think it could be that I tightened one or more of the screws in the back too tight, but I was wondering what else it could be. It looks like it works sometimes, but I know its wrong when:
Im redlining in 1st gear and it says Im doing 15mph.
Im getting passed in a 45 and it says Im doing 55. (50 is the norm, according to what it used to tell me)
Im passing people on the highway by what looks to be 10-15mph and it tells me Im doing 80. (people speed like the dickens on I35 here, theyre NOT doing 65-70)
What else could cause the speedo to act up like this?

      how big are your wheels/tires?

i doubt that would throw it off that much but maybe a sensor or something?

it is probably the screws, my speedo AND tach went crazy after i played around with the screws. i'm going to check them once i get back home. but instead of overtightening, i think 2 screws didn't screw in AT ALL

Could also be lack of fuild there...check your fluid levels. I forget which fluid it uses, but there are two hoses that connect, check those. Also, check to see if the wires are snug.

Okay, check your screws and make sure they're all in. if you left out screws then you left mad an incomplete circuit on your speedo/instrument cluster. Make sure all your screws are in and try it again and see what the results are.

And yes, I35 sucks not only for speeding Texans, but for po-po speed traps too.
