    door lock assemblies?

yeah.... i know..... another stupid question. heres the story, both my pdl motor/latch assemblies were bad on my 92 lx coupe, i had previously opened up my doors to look at them and you could hear them working, but neither were moving. then i went to the junkyard and pulled both out of a 90/91 cx coupe, brought em home and installed them and they are working fine. but.... i noticed that the assemblies that i pulled from the 90/91 had an extra little section at the top with another bundle coming out and a seperate plug with i think 3 wires that my car didnt have a mate for. does anyone know what this other little section and plug are for? heres the pics

Maybe one is a front door set, which on a 4dr has switches to the master lock control. The one without that plug could be from the rear doors, which only control the lock there.

appreciate your input man, but nah, they are both from coupes... the one on the right is out of my 92 lx coupe, and the one on the left i pulled also out of a coupe, i thought it was a cx, but ive heard that they didnt make the cb7s in cxs... so just to clarify they are both out of coupes, the one on the left was pulled out of a 90/91, not sure of the trim level. thanks again dude, anybody else?

CX? THe trim levels are DX,LX, EX and EX-R in canada which is just a US EX. I thought u misspelled it and said you got it from a CRX.

yeah.... ive heard of a cx on something, but ive been talkin to some people and they told me the same thing you just told me, that there was never an accord cx in america, probably anywhere either. i havent gotten a chance to go back and look at the badge on the car, since there is no cx, and considering the options, im thinking it was probably an ex, not sure tho.

Those extra plugs are for the passive seatbelt motors. The 90-91's have the passive seatbelt motors, but the 92-93 had airbags + manual seatbelts. Otherwise the assemblies are identical.

awesome.... thanks dude, i really appreciate it. me and my buddies couldnt figure it out for nothing. people had alot of good input but nothing really came together though, like one guy said it could be for like keyless entry or something which i guess is possible cuz it goes straight to the pdl, but something else would still have to send the signal so that idea didnt really work, etc... like i said man, i really appreciate it, thanks again.

Could possibly be for the factory security/keyless entry option.... allthough i've never seen an accord with one, i've only seen it on shopkey wiring diagrams...
i'd go with what 91lx said.
