    unplugging battery question(s)

i ran a test at autozone and my alternator is cool, but the battery needed a little charge. dude hooked me up free, unless its already supposed to be free, then we put it back on and off i go. now as im driving i remember that my radio probably got reset and it did. now this isnt the stock one no more. its some hand-me-down,no name, aftermarket type HU. there arent any numbers to press either so im assuming a # code is out of the question. what can i do to work the radio again then? also what do you guys use to clean up your battery terminals?

btw its a cheap hand-me-down cd player: RAMPAGE ACD16 (if that matters)

what can i do to get my deck to work again?

It should work unless that thing needs a code for some reason..... I mean if your radio worked before you got the battery done then it still should..

maybe the fuse on the radio harness blew. check that. to clean the terminals, i use a wire brush then add some terminal cleaner and protector to prevent any more oxidation from collecting. don't forget to strap down the battery. you don't want it flopping around in the engine bay! good luck!

^ go with what he said and as far as battery terminals go, baking soda does miracles it disolves all the acid build up.

solved. it didnt need a code,it just needed to be disconnected and re-connected.
