    Key replacement?

Has anyone had to get a replacement key for their cb7? I only have the master key, and it is extremely worn (too worn to make a decent copy of it seems). I was thinking about calling a Honda dealer or two and seeing if they can use the VIN number or something to get me a new key made. Any experience/thoughts here?

Go to Honda, give them your VIN and they'll make you a brand new HONDA Key...i did it for my Lude, it will work for your Accord.

Do you remember how much it costs to get Honda to do that?

There is also the chance that a brand new key made from a vin # wont work cause remember the key and the pins wear equally.

              What he said ^^^.

Also, if you have the "master" key there is a 4 digit number on the key that tells the dealer where to put the groves to make your key. If you don't have a key with the numbers on it, be sure to get the 4 digit number from the parts guy when he makes your key. That information will NOT be available too much longer.
It really is a labor of love making a neglected CB7 with "normal wear and tear" into something worth being proud of.

Paid around $25 here in NYC and I had to have a copy of my registration and my valet key.
