    New way to change rotors...

    I was at the local muffler shop the other day reading the magazines while waiting on the truck to get done and read an artical on this new tool. Didn't know if anyone had heard of it yet. The article claimed that you'd be able to do you rotors in about 1/2 the time.

    Figured it might help some people...

    $ 249.95

    I'm currently looking at 98-99 CL 2.3 knuckles w/ hubs. Cheapest I've found (and that's assuming the bearings are any good) is $200/pair --- now that's my kind of long-term solution.

        From the way the article was wrong I think they intend it more for a shop to wear it would pay itself off. I just thought maybe there'd be some people interested in it.

            I've seen this before and it's possible to damage the wheel bearings and if you do, you may as well just press the rotor/hub assy out of the knuckle.

              Last I checked, 98-99 Acura 2.3CL hubs were $80/each

              90-93 Accord wheel bearings $35/each

              That's about $230 there and you don't have rotors or pads. Rotors you can get for a 98-02 4cyl Accord or 98-99 Acura 2.3CL. Pads you would get for whatever Accord calipers you have (Akebono or Nissin). Go to hardware store and buy 4 - 6mm counter-sunk screws to set the rotors in place (few cents a piece).

                That thing looks cool but I don't think separating the wheel bearing like that is a good thing... anyone agree?

                  well, banging out the hub thru the back is the same thing.
                  just that thru the front is easier...
