I'd check in/around your glove box. I've read on other forums that in/around/behind the glove box is a possiable place for honda to put the code for your radio. You should be able to go to a honda dealer, provide your VIN, and they should give you the code. I cant imagine them charging you for the 30 seconds it would take them to look it up.

yeah i have also heard of it being in/around/even behind glove box. nice tip

look inside glove box, if you have owners manual check that. also, just take the glove box out, its easy and look behind.

i have also heard of it being behind or on the bottom of the radio

Dude, that is such crap!!! The parts guy should give it to you for no charge. I forgot to look where you live, but you and everyone else on this forum should boycot that dealership.
It really is a labor of love making a neglected CB7 with "normal wear and tear" into something worth being proud of.

i doubt it would be on the radio itself since the reason for the code is if it is stolen it cannot be used...

i'd try behind the glove box and if nothing there maybe someone at a dealer can help you out

They should give u the code for FREE if you purchased the car there.
Other then that, i can understand why they wanna charge you.
You are using their service, it doest matter if it takes 30sec or 1hr.
Now, only if the price was lower.

LOL but yeah man, try to speak with one of the cool techs there and
tell them to go into parts and get it for you quick.
Or if you want, PM me the radio code.

I purchased my car and it had this prob they wanted to charge me $75 to get the code and i asked why does it cost so much and he said its because they have to take the stereo out and PUT THE STEREO SERIAL NUMBER INTO A COMP THAT TELLS THEM THE CODE. so i told him i didnt have that much or want to pay it so he told me to take it out myself and bring him the serial number off it and he will get my code. so i took it out and got the serial number and he gave me the code. so thats how u solve the problem. and u should write the code somewhere in case u unhook power to it again!
