    Distributor help please.

I have a 96 Prelude S (F22A1), and my distributor bearing is bad. While looking for a new distributor, some websites list my distributor as TD-59U. Some say it's compatible with the TD-52U dizzy from certain 90-93 model accords.

When I looked on my car, the dizzy is TD-76U, which is supposedly certain 96-97 model accords. I also noticed it's an external coil dizzy. If I do get a new dizzy, should I go ahead and get the TD-76U model since I have an external coil? The TD-59U/52U models both have internal coils. Also, would it help me to replace the coil? It's a 96 with 91,xxx miles.

    Thanks for the help,
    Del

Get the whole Distributor and shaft.
You say you have an External Coil.
Well, they are similar to our 92-93 F22 engines.

If i were you i would get one for a Prelude S or an Accord 92-93.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to get the entire distributor assembly, which includes the shaft. The distributor that is supposedly for 92-96 Prelude S models (TD-59U), which is interchangeable with TD-52U from Accords, has an internal coil.

The dizzy that's on my car (TD-76U) has an external coil.
