instruments don't light up

Recently I removed and reinstalled my dash to fix a problem with a broken dash and ever since I've reinstalled the dash, none of my instruments glow. But it's more than just that. It's every single light that is supposed to come on at the firt setting of the light switch to the left of the steering wheel. Or, to describe it differently, all the lights that would change intensity if I rotated my dimmer switch are completely off. I checked and double-checked all under-dash connections. I tested all fuses, my dimmer relay, and I even swapped out dimmer switches. Has anyone experienced any thing similar to this? I'm thinking that it might be a problem with the switch behind the steering wheel or possibly the gauge assembly itself. This doesn't stem from anything else other than those are part of the circuits and I haven't checked those leads yet. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks a lot for the help.

oh weird, that happend to me as well and i saw taht i blew the "small light" fuse, which is in the fuse box under the hood, that solved the problem for me, u already checked that and it didnt work? weird... =T

I just wanted to say that after thinking about it I am leaning more towards the problem being in the light switch itself. The corner lights that are normally on when you turn your headlight switch to the first setting don't come on. That has nothing to do with the dimmer circuit does it? Is it possible that just one function of this switch is messed up?
