The ECU DOES NOT GET A CHASSIS GROUND to make it work, it has its own designated circuit ground from the engine. Here are pics of where its at, on the thermostat housing as mentioned before...
Sorry for the blurry pics. The ground is the little strap on the bolt in the picture. The big bowl-shaped object with the orange writing on it is the thermostat housing, and the other picture is from the top of the engine, looking down at the thermostat housing; you can see the shift linkage assembly in the picture.
ohhhhhh i definetly will take a look at that, i dont exactly remember removing a ground wire when i took off the housing though, ill take a look at it! thanks alot guys i will report back asap
OMG WOW IT WAS THAT!! lol i didnt notice that ground when i went to take off the housing! thanks so much... but i ran into another problem.. right when i start the car.. my idle literally is redline.. how do i fix this... tps setting.. or...? its scary.. lol right when i heard the engine fire up ig ot so happy.. but on to another problem.. hRMM

Good to hear man. Maybe you need to adjust the idle on the throttle cable, I know my throttle body is from an auto car, and it has the two-wheel design for the passing gear of the tranny. We accidentally put my throttle cable on the wrong wheel and it idled up like that. Maybe you should double check your cable if your mani came from an auto car...
alright ill definetly look into that, since u might be 2/2 lol thanks for the help so far though, well the cable from the right goes under the wheel and over (clockwise) cable from the left goes under as well and over (counterclockwise) i think thats right? is that what you're talking about? ... can you clear it up a little bit? =) it is an h23 tb btw

I'l have to check mine, I know for a fact that my cable comes around the bottom of the wheel, but I don't remember which one (mine is 5-speed), but I'll look and tell you.
i'm having the same issue but i checked the ground already.. only thing is your picture shows it on a different side, mine is on the bottom on the right side-ish.. could that be an issue? I'm at school so i cant try it out now.. jw.
