    clutch

Ok I searched and couldn't find anything bout this. This morning I got in the car and i hold down the clutch and it went down easier that usual and it stayed there and wouldn't come back up. I cranked the car up and the clutch was still down but i can shift into any gears at all. Does anybody know what this means?

Would that be a fluid level problem?

sounds like a bad master or slave cylinder.

what you want to check is this plunger looking thing on the front of the transmission... it has a thin metal line running from the top of the tranny down into the top of it, the plunger is sticking out to the left and it has a rubber boot over it.

when you press the clutch pedal down, that "slave cylinder" should expand, which disengages the clutch... if that isnt moving, bingo.

my thoughts exactly... when the peadal doesnt come back up.. thats what happens when the system needs to be bled. AKA air in the fluid or the slave/master cylinder is messed up.
