    intake speed control?

well i finally got my car back from the shop...and it drove fine for a little while(10mi or so) and then it started sputtering...like gasping for gas(my air/fuel ratio gauge is so low at this point its off the gauge!) but only until it warms up. it does this until maybe 3000rpm in first and the same in second....when im in a high gear and going to slow...or when im goin uphill trying to acclerate. i looked at my vacum tank and theres ajn outlet that goes straight up(my speed control idle thingy?) and theres nothing connected to it. it that the problem? it also idles VERY low and randomly drops and makes it really hard for me to launch..PERIOD!..whats wrong!?!?!?!?!??!

How is the AFR Gauge Hooked Up?
Is it wired into the O2 Sensor ?
You won't get a correct reading until it goes Closed Loop.
When the Engine is cold or at WOT the O2 Sensor is in Open Loop (Not Operating). That's Normal.
WTF is the Vacuum Tank for??
Is all this shit After Market?
Is that why it was in the Shop?

A couple of Pics might help and a clearer explanation of what has been done.

this thing...mounted on top of the trans(theres a diagram on my hood it says that THIS is the "vacum tank"

on the diagram it says that this is the intake control soleniod valve...but it used to be an auto....do manuals have this?

              HELP!!!

So did you swap hoods over when you put the Manual In? Ever thought the sticker on the hood is for an Auto.
That looks like a Breather pipe to me.

Ya Bloody Drongo! That's The Breather Pipe for the Selector Housing.

Look at No 5 - Breather Cap.

OK now that we got that sorted out.
What was it in the Shop for?
Did the Shop do a Tune Up?
If so did they adjust the Timing?
If so did they bridge out the Service Connector while checking it?
Did they adjust the Base Idle correctly?

new clutch and rebuild on tranny....nothing to do with tuning the engine...AT ALL
