all the questions asked by F22-Guru, are all excelent questions.......lets go back to basics,,

    # 1 have enough coolant in readiator
    # 2 bleed system properly
    # 3 pressure test system for leaks,, if any repair them
    # 4 pressure test radiator cap, look at rubber gasket for any cracks or tears.if any replace cap,,

A quick test. start car put a/c on,, both fans should come on, if they do, it tells us fuses, relays. motors are ok.
    # 5 start car up and let it warm up. when warm enough
    # 6 feel the bottom radiator hose , should feel almost but not quite as hot as top radiator hose/
    # 7 if it does , thermostat is opening ok,, if it feels cool , install a new HONDA factory t-stat and gasket and retry the whole thing..
    # 7 if with a new t-stat , car warm, and lower hose still feels cool , you got corroded blades in the water pump..
    # 8 if lower hose feels hot, let car run and wait for fans to come on..
    # 9 if they come on you are all set.., if they do not come on, and came on with the a/c .. bypass the switch at t-stat housing..unplug it and jump the 2 wires together ,if fans come on replace the switch ,,

Now if fans did not come on with a/c on , car could be low on freon ,also chk the fuses, relays ..if ok let me know i will walk you how to troubleshoot them

try all of this , do not jump around and post results..,,,,,,

I have the same Problem with mine.
Well it doesnt overheat, but it gets to like almost "H"
But that happens only when you're driving it for a while and then you come to a complete stop.
After you start moving, the needle goes back to its original normal spot.
So thats telling me that its dealing with the fans and them not able to come on at the right moment.

By the way, i have flushed the system, also has new Radiator and new Thermostat.

Those were my experience with that matter.

jak in your case sounds like your fans are not coming on,,,,,,,run the car when warm see if fans come on,, if not, unplug swtich at t-stat housing and jump the 2 wires together if they come on replace the switch,, if not,,,do a quick test,, get a big screwdriver and hit the back side of the fans , if they come on you got bad motors ,,if they do not come on . you need to chk fuses, relays, wiring ...

Sounds Like a Bad Alternator to Me!!
Try installing an EBay Ground Kit.
