    Bleed/Flush!

    Hey !

1st. thing i want to know whats the difference between a bleed and a flush??

2nd. you think its better to do a flush your self or take it to a place like midas or what not?

3rd. can you please tell me how to flush and clean out completely the whole coolant system the right way? (my name thing is Clooged or airpocket!!!!)
Thats cuz am having a overheating problem and need to get it fixed .soon!!

4th. anything i should buy to poor in to clean it out or anything at all.

5th. should i take out the thermostat when doing this to make sure everything is flowing the right way? asking this because of the lack of coolant flow. and yes i have changed the thermostat twice already.

Read on my problems if you want so you can know the whole thing if you want. or not just answer them as you know.

1st... bleed, you are just bleeding the air out. flush, you are flushing the system, putting new stuff in.

    2. some people can work on their own cars.. some cant. those who can do it themselves, those who cant take it somewhere.. thought it was pretty straightforward

    3. If I am not mistaken, in the first link you posted, you were told how to drain/flush the system, why dont you just read, and follow directions?

    4. Its "pour" not 'poor' and additives most likely will not help your problem.

    5. If you already changed the thermostat, then thats prolly not your problem.

PS. a Haynes manual could be your friend.. only 14.95 at your local autozone.

How many threads are you going to start regarding this problem?

Do a bit of research for fuck sake and get to understand How The Cooling System Works before bombarding us with threads.

      Try reading this http://auto.howstuffworks.com/cooling-system1.htm
then and only then if you still can't work it out come back and ask questions.
