I think the fuel pump shutoff is a better way to protect the vehicle than a battery shut off. Having the engine turn over for a while but not start might seem to the theif more like a broken vehicle than one protected by a security device.

I'm considering a relay that is activated by one of the cars components (say the headlights). The component must be powered up to provide power to the relay. That opens the connection to the fuel pump. The car can then be started and the component can be powered down.

How's this sound?

That fuel pump idea is awesome.... this past weekend my friends crx got stolen right out of our locked parking garage..... he had a jdm b16 and a couple of mods.... its a shame, ya know? car is prolly stripped already... thieves suck ass and this is definitely a good way to immobilize the car... in fact im doing that tomorrow!!!

good idea, but you'd have to figure out a way to "power down" the component. It's a whole heck of a lot easier to use a switch that works all time.

the wire can be tapped into at any location in the car. Coming out of the main fuel relay, wired all the way down the passanger side of the car, or under the back seat. Just because you have a fuel pump cutoff swtich doesn't mean that a thief is going to know where the cutoff switch is.


and sparkle, with that intercooler sticking out like that, anyone trying to steal your car would know how the thing comes apart, and would most likely think to check for a cutoff switch.

Who needs to know where the switch is when it can be bypassed at the fuel pump. You've explained it in writing and got photos of how you wired it up to your car, ya dickhead. Remember your the clown that said " most of them are experts and know what to look for "
