Cold weather you should use a higher weight like 10w-30.
I use 5w-30 regular dyno oil with a bottle of Lucas oil so it aids in stop and go and also cold weather startup.

I also do city driving, stop and go in Manhattan everyday. Try it, you'll feel the difference of a using Lucas oil stabilizer.
--(though, kinda pricey for an oil change, you can use it for the winter only)-

            It definitely is....
Also, 5w30 is thinner for winter use....
It's also the reccomended oil for our cars...

Check the owner's manual... it tells you what viscosity of oil to use in different driving conditions. In cold weather, use 5W30. It's as thick as 10W30 when the engine's heated up (hence the shared "30"), but roughly half as viscous when cold (5 vs. 10), meaning it'll get passed around the engine more quickly on startup.
I swear, eventually I'll run out of things to break.

I guess I was wrong... I broke it all. Died 10/29/06
