Ive never heard of resurfacing a pressure plate. Usually id just replace the whole assembly. You should be able too resurface chromoly flywheels it looks like it would be more work but it might be possible.

Are you putting in a new clutch? If so, I would replace the pressure plate....I'm not sure how they would turn that to resurface it. And the flywheel, that should be no problem for a machine shop.....

Do you have really bad clutch chatter? That I guess.......would be the only reason to try and resurface a pressure plate/flywheel. Just make sure that when they resurface, they use a bit/tooth to cut the material off and not "stones." Stones will wear down as the object is resurfaced, causing a tapering effect. This can severly hamper the flywheel/clutch surfaces from seating properly, because the new mating surface is uneven...

Lightening a flywheel will cause incredible harmonic vibrations from the motor. Doesnt aftermarket compaines make like 12lb flywheels for our Accords?
Change both, flywheel and get a exedy clutch...i never heard of lightening pressure plates...which is not a good idea...im sure they sell "lighter" pressure plates...

If you do this, get ready for the REVS...

Im with Xaxis on this one...

good question! as far the pressure plate is concerned, if it needs a resurface, it needs new springs too. so might as well replace the whole thing right? i wouldn't put back the original pressure plate if the original clutch disc is in bad shape too (duh!).

Ya, no it will not......as long as it's balanced. If that were true than I could state with accuracy that any flywheel lighter than a stocker will cause problems to.
