valve adjustment

will adjusting my valves affect performance? can i do it myself? if i have a pro do it how much does it normally cost?

Although its a pretty simple procedure, if you've never done it, better take it to a pro. You kinda have to have a feel for it. But if you want to tackle it yourself, all you need is a flathead screwdriver, 10mm box-end wrench, and some feeler gauges. (intake: .26mm, exhaust: .30mm)The engine must be cold, and be sure you don't adjust them too tight...this will cause excessive vibration at idle.
