is it normal for the auto to shift kinda hard? also is it bad for the trans to manually shift from 1st 2nd d3 d4?

it puts more pressure on the tranny to shift gears like that, the gear selector i think has stress put on it. id only use it for downshifting to slow down.
as for your tranny, change the fluid with some good ol' dextron 3. chevron atf and penzoil are very good.
those will help your shifting. mine shifted hard, after about 3 drain and fills it was smooth as a feather.
it should shift relativley smooth...but not jerkeyWhat makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.
You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!
