on the bottom of the tranny on the passenger side, there is a round plug.. you use a 3/8" ratchet to unscrew it (its basically like a socket).. make sure you take out the dipstick first so it comes out smoother and clean off any shavings on the plugs magnet..

u may not have to jack the car up, but its a weird looking bolt.

fill the tranny with some dextron 3 either penzoil or chevron atf dextron 3 is good and your set.

i think drain is 3 quarts....so buy 4 quarts to be certain.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

OK i changed my transmission fluid today. Took me forever to find the drain plug but it was pretty simple. No more shudder at idle thank god. I might drain it and fill it again cause the tranny still shifts kinda hard .

yea do a drain and fill again. you will get more "new fluid" in there

when the engine is cold the next morn check the level. if its over then drain some more. if not then bring it to level.

Drain and refill is exactly 2.5 quarts. Also, very important, use ONLY Honda ATF! Honda ATF contains special additives required for Honda automatic transmissions. ATF and P/S fluid are the two fluids that MUST be Honda.

blah use what u want. i used honda atf and mine shifted and slipped...

honda atf was made in 1994 for the 5th gen accords. yes u can use it if u want to pay the cash, but i tried it and it was shit.

not to start flamming or anything, but what ever floats your boat.

the additive that they use is high friction modifiers, if there is too much it will cause slippage.

but its give or take, some cars run honda atf and are great, mine shifted great but slipped a bit. some just dont like it.

i found that mine doesnt like it and my uncles does. its weird.

honda is about 3.5 bucks a quart
