    tranny swap now no start

i just put a automatic in a freinds 93 accord everything went real smooth till i went to start it the indacator on the dash showed that it was in d4 and park both lights went on then when i turned the key the d4 light went off but it acted as if it was in drive but it was in park so i crossed over the wires on the starter and it started right up

so if anyone could point me in the right direction from here before i do anymore checking it would be greatly appreciated

    thanks

Did you happen to move the linkage while installing the trans because it sounds like the linkage is off. What you need to do is disconnect the linkage put the shifter in park, then find out what position the linkage on the tranny is park and then hook everything back up. Good Luck

It's called a neautral safety switch if you screwed the linkage in any way, i.e. it thinks it's in a different gear then it really is then the vehicle won't start, your car should only start in Park and Neutral and it won't start in any other gears, so go back check your linkage and make sure your linkage corresponds with what gear your lever says.
