Is this a F22A6 Intake Manifold?

Hey all, I am looking for a F22A6 intake manifold (the one with the dual runners) and since I am not at all familiar with the A6, I wanted to make sure that this is the A6 manifold before I got an decide to buy it or not, the Guy says it is from a 92 EX...

    Thanks!

It's hard to tell from the angle of the picture. Take another one of the back side to be 100% sure, but I think it is. The way you can tell for sure on your own is to look at where the top section bolts to the lower section. Is there a big, 5/8 inch plate in between them? That is the butterfly valve assembly.

sorry i didn't reply to your pm woahna. i believe that is the a6 mani but have him take a side pic of it. its really really dirty tho and looks very aged from weather or something. I wouldn't get that one personally because of its exterior condition. You can find better than that. Hell if u can't i'll find one at the junk yard and send it to you. The vac lines are simple as i told u b4. Just have the vac box on the bottom, the 2 wires that come with it and like 2 vac lines.

Hey midnite, thanks for all your help with all this. If you can find one that is in better condition and doesnt cost much, that would be great. I could prolly get this one for cheap since it looks aged. But I would rather have one that isnt as garbaged up.

i just went to the yard today and i pulled half of a intake manifold and plentum.

they want 30 bucks for the system, 4.99 for the box, and 30 for the ecu. it looks like it funtions correctly.

heheh if u look inside where the dual runners are its hella cool. u see these standard holes for the normal engines, then these throttle coverd butterflies which i can tell is ALOT more power.

check this, this guy in another state is selling me the who system for 65 plus shipping!! hahah...

whoanah, i still wanna get in contact with you.

I know for sure the intake manifold has the IAB (butterfly flap) system, but because of the angle I can't tell if it's a F22a6 manifold...but it looks to be.

OK, I have my ecu, and the manifold (not the one pictured) is on its way (well, in the works thanks to accordztech, thanks again be the way) Now, what preperations should I make before I install? I was going to clean the EGR ports, anything else? Any other pics or install step by steps (as far as what I do that isnt going to match my stock A1) would be appreciated?

                        Thanks all!

yeup im getting this guy's intake manifold and plenum setup for him.

it will help me in taking off my system so it will be faster and any problems i run into i can fix it at the yard.

well i got the manifold man. heheh ill tell the story.

when i went to the yard, lol half of the manifold was already pulled off, and there were 3 bolts they couldnt take out...so i was like shoot...so i rushed to get those 3 hard bolts out and pulled it out and left in the quickness...if the dude who did that came, man hell would of broken loose hahah!!

well then i went to find the other a6 manifold, i took most of the upperhalf and then hid it in the FORD section hahahah. i might be getting that but i had no time to pull the full manifold off. at least the guy who was origionally taking it off has no way to get that manfold =). it was fun though...there is one super trickey bolt....my balls were over the top of the engine to get to it.

37 bucks aint bad. i got the gaskets that came to about 20 bucks...total. its about 15 pounds...more like 10 pounds...

ready to ship in a week. if not then its going in my car lol!!
