code 43...which first??

my boy is throwing a code 43 in his accord, which should he replace first? fuel filter? it sat in the hot sun all day today and would not start for a while...anyone know?

Has he listened to see if the fuel pump is running when you first turn the key on? if so then yes, thats the next thing I would check.

code 43 usually o2 sensor

code 43 is usually an oxygen sensor. fuel filter is cheap and easy as well.

a clogged fuel filter will usually trigger a code 16 a well..for fuel injector circuit.

itll be triggered cuz no fuel will get to injectors..rendering malfunction.

let me try again

code 41 is for heatred oxygen circuit..usually meaning sensor is bad.

code 43 is usually for fuel system supply(i.e fuel filter, fuel regulator, or fuel pump, fuel relay), but it can also be for heated oxygen sensor.

that was from two posts above..

code 16 is for fuel injector circuit(i.e fuel injector, injector resistor, ecm, and main relay)
