    E-Bay Ground Kits

Just wondering if anyone purchased the universal ground kits off of e-bay. If so, were all the wires long enough to fit the CB7 and did you notice much of a performance upgrade.

    Thanks

I did a search after the post, and found the info I needed pretty much.

I seen a thread that one guy did where the wires were all over the place. Is there a sensible way to install it, or do they have to go everywhere? Do you replace your old grounds? Or do these just add to the current ground setup?

        Group buy? They're like $10...

Anyhoo they're just wires. And yes, they need to spider around the engine bay so that all the components are ground at the same voltage. That, and the bigger wire of the grounding kit contribute to less electrical losses and a lower load on the alternator, yielding higher power left over.

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT get the ground kits off ebay they SUCK i got one for free due to the company that sales them screwing up my exhaust and header order they do not like to stay tight they also stick up about an inch and half hitting the hood when you close it the crimps are also of poor quality i have already had 4 of the 12 wires break loose from its crimp

you are suppose to replace your main ground wires with them then run the rest to any ground point

The your installing them sucked. They're freaking wires man. As far as them breaking loose from the crimp, solder them. It's spending about $15 man.

get an HKS one, i got mine for $20 shipped on ebay. maybe it's knockoff, but it says HKS on it, and it works well. you don't necessarily have to replace, after all you can't really have too many grounds.
there is a thread detailing where you should put your grounds too (headlight housings, throttle body, thermostat housing, valve cover, block, chassis, power steering(to chassis), and wherever else seems like a good idea!)

ebay has these jdm inuzama super earth systems for 50$, i order it and the directions were in japanese and the battery was on the opposite side, but anyways i felt the difference in lower rpms, more responsive, and rpms are very steady and i shift smoother also

There is nothing wrong with Ebay ground wires...they are all the same IMO, whether you pay $10 for them or $200 from them (APEXi, Sun America, HKS, etc).

They are what? 6 gauge wire right?

                              Just use these ground points:

                              (-) Battery to valve cover(head)
                              Chassis
                              Alternator
(light housing - if you can find a grounding point)
                              firewall
                              and back to chassis

---worst comes to worst and you're confused, just follow the stock ground points already on your car and just replace.

This mod doesn't give you 50 hp like some decals do but they will improve electrical flow and less voltage spikes. Couple this with the Sun America hyper voltage system(hot inazma) and you'll def. notice a difference from before and after. ie. radio stations, higher volume, brighter lights etc.
