    ECU Problem

OK well first this is from a civic EX its a P28, I know there are alot of chipper guys on here, and I know this is a accord forum but I fugured someone may be able to help me. I opened up my p28 today, I smelt something like elcetrical burn smell when I was installing my GSR seats. SO I pulled the ECU out. Now once I opened it up there is a part that is defenently burnt. I have never felt vtec since ive owned the car. But no codes are showing up. Car runs fine, Ive heard vtec on a SOHC is hard to feel anyways but, I felt it once in a 94 Si and have never felt it in my car. I have another p28 borad, my intention was to sell it but Im thinking I shouldnt. Any help form a ECU guru would be great.

    thanks

Well since you say you have another P28 easiest thing would be to open it up and see what is burnt. Might be repairable you got any pics of it?

my camera takes blurry shots of up close stuff, I belive its a Crystal, it says Q35. Thats the part thats smoked. I used to know all the names of all those parts, cause I put circut borads together, but I forgot. Its a black squar with 3 legs, kinda look like a IC. Im not afraid of pulling it out I can solder great. just wondering if that would stop me form having vtec. I put the other p28 in havnt drivin it yet but I cna tell a difference in how it runs. Guess I shouldnt be too worried about it I had another one.

        Thanks for the help guys
