    Fuel filter "Issue"

So I bought a fuel filter from autozone, and the POS threads did not match up. I did not realize it was cross threading at first (because it was a bitch to get off in the first place), so when I'm 3/4 of the way in with the bolt, it stops and WILL not go any further. I assumed it might be fine but of course its shooting gas when it tries to prime. I tried putting my old one on but the nut for the pressurized line is FUCKED. What are my options?

Well what I'm really wondering is if I can use a canister filter, or if i could re-tap the compression bolt and get a new filter and get it to work...

You should've gotten a OEM Honda filter or a Fram filter.

Take it to your shop, get the line re-tapped and merrily continue...

...wait...if it's shooting fuel...that's a no-no...it's time to call a tow truck..DO NOT FIRE YOUR CAR IF THE FILTER IS SHOOTING FUEL!!!

i had the exact same problem with a shitty Canadian tire filter. need to go oem or else gas will spray everywhere.

are you talking about the hardline (feed in) or the banjo bolt line going to the fuel rail (feed out)? the fuel rail bango bolt can be replaced. the hardline fitting can be replaced too. you just need to remove the old one, put a new fitting, and reflare the pipe. easier said than done i know since there is barely enough room between the firewall. good luck and yes OEM is the way to go!

(dumb question) you didn't try and put that little sliver crush washer between the fittings did you? You will have to buy the entire fuel feed pipe for about $60 bucks if you f'd up the end. It goes allllll the way back to your fuel pump. I wonder how they would ship that? anyways, I would try a Honda fuel filter and dab some anti-sieze on the threads to help it go in. I have a few cross-threads on my car that anti-sieze somehow made work.
