    Few Slect Problems

Aight heres the deal i went into honda for an oil change and i told em that if they could just check the clutch, the guys like we really cant just check it because we'd have to take ur tranny out. im like ok nvm.. but after the oil change i look on the bill of services completed and it shows a note they left i assume its somthing for them to check up on with the next time i go in.. but it said

    ------NOTE-------
    leak @tranny shaft seal area
    Leak@clutch master cylinder

thats not exact, ima fix it later when i get home but thats what i remember it saying somthing bout the clutch and somthing about the shaft seal area... now i kinda knew the clutch might be goin, but if the master cylinder is goin bad il prolly need a new clutch. and wouldnt that be the reason why i felt my car wasnt quite as fast as it normally was.

if master cyl is bad u dont need a new clutch. u just need that new part. what it is i think is that it pumps the fluid through the system so that when u push down its alot easier.

now have you noticed a leak on your driveway when you let it sit there?

u might be able to see a leak if u look under at the axle points and see if ther eis some leaking there.

really what you can do is just open the clutch fluid area in the engine and take some put and put some new one in. that would make your clutch feel alot better.

i dont think your clutch is going out, i think it may just be worn fluid.

im not sure exactly what the tranny shaft seal is, but if its that non servicable seal that only can be done by opening it, then leave it...my main seal has been leaky for years, but its very minimal.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

the shaft seal also called the rear main seal usually goes out on our cars. its not that big of a deal but the part is so small that you generally want to have a clutch job done at the same time since replacing the seal involves removing the trans. how ever the longer you go with out replaceing the seal the worse the leak will get. As for the clutch cylinder it leaks inside your car, look down at where your clutch pedal is, directly behind it on the fire wall you should see a trail of brake fluid. No big deal just a harder clutch pedal. mines bad for 2 years cuz Im too lazy to replace it

infact the pedal is still like super feather light, i dont ever see leaks of anything EVER cept for water after a wash (obviously).. but i dunno my car seems slower recently so i thought the clutch had somthing to do with it, well anyways what it is,, this is what it says on the sheet i was real close if not exactly rite before without the sheet

its TRANS FLUID LEAK@SHAFT SEAL AREA
and FLUID LEAK@ CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER

so.. i dunno they didnt mention it to me just put a note on the service sheet showing what was done, like oil change and then the note, maybe theyre gonna look at it next time and see whats going on. couldnt the clutch affect how fast my acceleration is tho if its not grabbing properly? well since they didnt mention it to me on the way out, i assume that its just somthing theyre goign to watch and see if it gets worse

thats not a direct reason why ur shit is slower.

The clutch slips, or it doesn't, end of story. We can't tell you if it is, or isn't; you're the driver.

As far as what they wrote down, they aren't notes for themselves. The notes are to let YOU know that the car is leaking at those two areas. A leak isn't something that you "check up on", it's something that is happening and requires some kind of service. Whether you just continually top off the fluids in question, or go about replacing seals and checking sealing surfaces is your perogotive; but service, of some kind, does need to happen.

Oh, and go buy a manual.
