**CHECK the metal terminal inside the coil wire boot**
this past thursday, my cb7 died out on me on I-80, a couple exits before the G.W. bridge crossing. it started after 10mins, drove off.... about 2000ft. later, went dead again. decided to get the car towed since that stretch of the NJ Tpke is notorious for 80-100mph 18wheelers speeding on by. anyways, got home.. $400 lighter in the wallet and the damn car started right up. BUT after 10mins, it died out again.
after checking everything i could, the culprit was the terminal inside the coil wire boot. my MSD blaster 2 had the optional power tower which i was using, and i didn't realize the terminal inside the boot was cracked and was not at 100% contact w/ the tower. i just then realized the boot was loose and everytime i touched it, the rpms would stutter. so a lesson learned, an expensive one too, since the bottom of my R33 bumper was damaged during the tow
