I have a 1990 cb7 four door LX 5-speed with 87k. Just wondering what kind of short shifter i would need. I've seen the ones with just the different shaped brackets where you dont even have to replace the shift arm. Not sure if i need that or if i am lucky enough to have to get the whole arm and bushings. If anyone could help me out it would awesome. thanks.

theres a shitty adapter you can buy for 80$?
you can do the DIY for a few $$..
or you can buy the forbidden short shifter for i think it was 124$, which is ideal but requires to swap prelude shifter plates or switch your stock ones overtop one another or cut away some of your console.. a few choices depends how lazy and cheap you are :-p2007 Subaru WRX Limited - Stage 2

an SSA (short shift adapter) will only shorten the throws of your shifts, and not the height of the lever, thew 4bidden short shifter will do both, but its expensive... if you look in the diy section you'll find a real nice DIY with shortened throws AND shortened height with a max. cost of like 2$ :PMEMBER'S RIDE
i was driving along today and the check engine light came on.
i pulled over and looked under the hood.
the engine was still there...
...silly light!

yea alot of different ways, but use the one best suited to your likeing... IMO I hear alot of good things about the forbidden shifter, so thats what I plan on getting, prob along with a prelude shifter plate to make things fit nice and easy, but do what you want

I dont get it.. Are you saying we SHOULD be wiping our asses with our hands because it's cheaper than buying toilet paper??
That's a classic analogy, hahaha...

Hahaha, I never quite thought of it that way... Nothing like Fizzbob to give a "fresh" spin on things!Originally posted by fizzbob7
my hands aren't absorbent.....therefore, i would just smear and accomplish nothing.....if your hands ARE absorbent, then save that $10 month on tp and use those hands......you'll end up spending more on soap though................
