I was driving around yesterday, and, twice, my car decided it wouldn't start for me.
I had been driving for about an hour, at least, and the car had been running perfect. I turned the car off for 5 minutes-ish, and when I came back (much to my friends amusement) the car decides it won't start.
It started on the first try for about half of a second, and then died. The engine sounds perfectly normal, like it normally cranking over, but it just wont start. So, taking a wild guess that I'm not getting any fuel, I opened the door, leaned over, turned the key to "on", and listened for the fuel-pump to prime....silence.
I tried this many times, at least 10. Sometimes I would hear the fuel pump prime, and it would start for like 0.05 seconds, but the car still wouldn't cooperate.
ANYWAY, it eventually started, and I drove for another 20 minutes, and then shut 'er down again for about 5 minutes.
I came back, and it's the same story. Cranks over fine, Won't start, no fuel pump "whine", and after much swearing and telling my friends to stop laughing or I'll make them get out and push me home, it starts.
After these two events, the car started normally for the rest of the day...WTF IS THIS SHIITE! I have a job interview coming up and I need "reliable transportation" or I'm fubar. Helphelphelp please!
