    fuel consumption problem

Alright, I've got some kind of problem. My fuel gauge seems to be giving me inaccurate readings. When I fuel my car up all the way, the gauge only reads about 3/4 full. Then I'll drive a day or two and it will be down to 1/4 full. Its bizzarre as hell. So I assumped it was the temp/fuel gauge. Went down to pick and pull, pulled one out of a 92 accord and put it in my 93 accord. Thought that would fix the problem, but it did not. now its reading half a tank . It budged only a lil... Now either I have a serious excessive fuel consumption problem or I'm retarded and dont know how much fuel I am using.. My car does not seem to be running rich. At least not noticibly? Any of ya'll have any idea what my problem is?

Check your fuel sending unit that could be giving a false reading.

I take it honda would be the only ones to have something like that? I'm checking the resistance right? Where is it suppose to be at?110-115 ohms?

Yo..E...didn't that shit start happening when you threw those reverse EL gauges on ?? and you ended up breaking the OTHER gauge????

my guess is...its probably the cluster itself..might need to go and rip a dash off another 92-93 cb7 and snag that cluster..UNLESS you already did that?

when I come down.....imma help you on this issue aight....

Try opening up the gas cap.

            You should hear a, "Whoooosh."
That means the gas cap is working.

            Maybe...?

you realize that gasoline is in liquid form...it cant escape the tank unless it all turns to vapor

why not just tank up, then drive like 100-150 miles, go back to the gas station and fill back up, and see what you are getting for miles per gallon? That would tell you if you are running rich/ etc.

But def check the sending unit, could be crapola~
